Just getting to know the camper. The driver side front base where jack plate attaches has three of four bolts loose! How to access the frame area? Do I remove the propane holding box?

These three point jacks are new to me!

The front jack attached plate if you can see the compression on the lowest metal skin being bent.
There are three of the four bolts which are attached below the propane box into wood I assume, are loose!!!! And imo the plate should have been mounted furthest front using the cabovers bulkhead as support. The plate is sinking in to the under skirt that rides over the trucks wheel wells.
Just not what I expect a major support area to appear like! Anyone have ideas short of dismantling the side?
And if you look at the bottom of the fridge vent there’s a gap forming in the metal piece like it’s compressing!

Took a picture of the jacks mounting plate where it attaches under the driver side overhang. Kinda sinking into the overhang metal and whatever the overhang structure is.
I don’t have access to that area. It’s below the propane tanks box furthest front. I’m thinking of using a circular bit and creating an access door through the tin floor of the propane tank area?
This way I can assess the best way to secure the jack plate area. Three of the bolts are loose one not much better! And this is what balances the unit !!!

To try and help, if you have not noticed already we do not have many truck camper specific club members. But we have a lot of club members with Sunline travel trailers and some 5th wheels.

We can help suggest ideas that you can build off of, as the travel trailers etc are built using a lot of the same methods as the truck campers as that was how Sunline did it. And we have done a lot on fixing the travel trailers. But we need more pics to go off as to what you have.

I can see this much by your pick. That jack post does not look to be original. I might be wrong, but it does not seem to fit with Sunlines manufacturing of the time. A prior owner may have made that stand and support.

We can see the siding giving way as there is not much left inside that area to support the stand. If there ever was.

I can help with this much, it is not hard to take the siding corner molding off and undo that bottom piece of siding so it will pull back about 2 feet. The siding is installed from the top down. So taking it off, you start at the bottom and work up. If the wood is rotted behind the siding, you may be able to repair it and then put the siding back on and put new butyl tape in the corner molding that I'm sure needs to be changed anyway.

If you find the wood not rotted, then that location may not have been intended by Sunline to ever be used as a jack stand point.

I thought I read sep saying the siding goes on like vinyl siding bottom up?
Anyway this is becoming a project instead of a fix up.

There must of been a mix up on the siding. Camper siding is different than house siding. House siding is fastened at the top of each siding panel. Camper siding is fastened at the bottom of each panel.

Thanks I was able to do a repair from inside the cab over.
The jack plate will take a fabricated piece.

I noticed on the slide in responses. But it’s all good.
