Where to buy Replacement parts

I just bought a 2006 Sunline Solaris 26ft. The covers that crank open for the overhead vents need replacing. Where is the best place to buy them? Online or rv stores?

Camco is one of the primary manufacturers, online or RV store doesn't matter if it's the same part. Get the best price if you're doing the work yourself.

you can find most items on line but they won't be listed a Sunline parts as many companies supplied parts to all of the camper manufacturers. Just check the side you need and search that way. RV stores will have some parts but they are more expensive.

Here are 2 options. You can search out these brands at other places.

Ventline, This is what came from Sunline. This will fit your year camper.
https://www.etrailer.com/Enclosed-Tr...BV0554-01.html

Camco, they are an aftermarket mfg, and have good quality on many items. Not all but many,
https://www.amazon.com/Camco-40161-4...e%2C237&sr=1-6

You have to watch the hinge that it lines up correctly. The Camco 40161/40168 White Unbreakable Polycarbonate Vent Lid - Ventline (pre 200 & Elixir (since 1994) is what you are looking for. This one is made out of a little better plastic then the original.

I find that by using 303 Aerospace UV protectant on these plastic, vinyl and rubber items extends the life of them majorly. Best is to apply it when they are new and 3 to 4 times a year if the camper is outside all the time, or if stored inside, to 2 times. You add it after you washed the roof.

Careful when you get up on the roof. Unless your camper was a special order you cannot walk directly on the roof without precautions to spread your weight or you will go right through it. If you need help on how to do this, ask away.

Hope this helps

John

Nice to know the Ventline is the original brand.
303 is the best on the market for a protectant.

I just replaced mine. I have a 2002 32 ft. I found them on the Camping World website. I went into their store but the shelf price was much higher. They matched their online price of $13.
