Ventilating Storage Space

Hi Folks-

Thanks to kanyonkitty for turning me onto this forum.
My 1993 T-1850 has a storage space with access, in and out, at the front left corner. It's 38" deep and 40" wide, a good size space. I want to mount a 2000w inverter next to a sealed D8 battery or two in this space. Will it need to be vented for cooling purposes and if so, ideas are welcomed in regards to vent size, procurement site of said vent, and possible need for a fan.

Thanks-
Ken

Batteries should not be inside the coach. There is space on the A-frame for a second battery. Purchase a matching marine/rv battery box and mount it there.

The inverter needs to be ventilated if it generates any heat. You could look in Lowes or Home Depot for register covers - the one in my trailer for the cold air return is standard residential. Just vent it to the inside of the trailer.

Be careful with batteries and inverters all batteries out gas and it is very corrosive and may damage your inverter try to get the inverter as far away as you can from the battery if it's in the same compartment. Venting is also important charging batteries make hydrogen gas if you are going to use a fan be sure it is brushless most computer type fans are and they draw very little current.
