TT covers---pros and cons

Need info.......a storage barn is not in my budget right now (tow vehicle etc. etc.) so I am considering a cover for my 2499. If you have one over your TT then please give me some info...good or bad, brand names, prices etc.. Sport Boat and RV show in Louisville on the 20th and I thought I might see a vendor. Post it here or send to email

jterhune@win.net thanks for any information given

I use a CalMark custom cover on my T2499. It is made of Sunbrella marine canvas and has the advantage of being water resistant and breathable. I have never had a mold or mildew problem with either the cover or the Sunline. It is rather heavy and expensive compared to other covers but it is extremely well made and very durable.

It is on its 4th season and shows absolutely no wear at all. Of course, it is madatory with this and any cover to cover the sharp edges of the TT with pipe cover foam.

I use a cover on my 33' fifth wheel. It's a pain in the &^@&* to put on, even with two people. Its breathable and water resistant. I've noticed, with previous coaches, that it helps keep the roof from oxidizing so badly over the winter, and accordingly, minimizes any streaks on the sides. Naturally, the coach stays cleaner as well.

It's a hassle, but I believe it's worth the effort.
