Towing question..
A couple of years ago we had a wheel bearing burn out on one of our Sunnies--it needed to be towed-but the company that came and tried to put it on a rollback, tried to drag it up onto the platform by hooking a chain around the hitch and dragging it with the power jack in the down position! Well this just wasnt going to happen in my opinion! I looked at the rear and the bumper was dragging! I stopped the whole procedure -he left-I luckily found someone to come and make a temp repair to get it into their facility (NOTE: Black's Tire service in Florence,SC.-GREAT people!GAVE US A SPOT TO STAY TWO NIGHTS W/WATER/ELEC/and wifi) Anyway, now I am paranoid when I leave on a trip,as I will be doing next week to head south for the winter--so--have any of you been towed successfully by some method? If so, please respond ASAP. We all know Sunnies are slung low and that can be a problem..By the way, this happened in a super driving rain on I-95 in SC near a rest area. Thank heavens it was raining so hard that I pulled in to wait and discovered the smoking wheel and lots of damage --the hard rain saved the TT from burning down behind us! Janalee
