Thanksgiving camping....
My Sunny got to go camping just before Thanksgiving. We are due out again right after Christmas. Seems like a long time to wait, but it beats waiting for Spring!
Later,
David

David I am green with envy. Our coach is all tucked in for a long winters nap. My sister is in the GA mountains and still camping too. Enjoy.
Regards,
MM

David,
One of the advantages of living in the south. Here in NY, we have already started our annual ritual of lake effect snow. That is when the wind blows across the warmer waters of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario picking up water and depositing on us in the form of that wonderful white crap that we have to shovel. At the eastern end of Lake Ontario, it is quite common to get three to five feet of snow overnight. Last year, it dropped over twelve feet just in one weekend. Try to tow your TT in that.
Keep on campin as late as you can. We are jealous. All I can do is look out the window at the camper, click my heels three times and say " There's no place like spring". Looking forward to the next four months of shoveling, testing my frosticles and dreaming of sitting under the awning.

Bobo,
I've always thought it would be a great addition to any basement to add a small awning (like the sample awnings from Camping World) and have it rolled out with chairs underneath. I could even have a mat down and lights hanging from the awning .

Jon,
I am sitting here with JL, she doesn't like the idea, said the parental units may not go for the awning in the basement. I have to admit it is a nice idea thought. Sometimes woman just do not understand good decorating ideas.

I know they already don't approve of it. I tried to use a tarp a few years ago to immitate a real awning, but I never got past the design stage .

Geesh, just got home last sunday from Pigeon Forge, TN, and now will have 12.5 days off for christmas I'd rather work so that I'd get done around Memorial Day, instead of June 9. Well, now I just have to figure out "IF" I can scrape up some $$$ to escape for about 10 days to someplace warm in the south I'll probably end up here with Sunny all tucked away in his house. I just spent 400 bux to have some trees cut down that were near Sunnys' house so that kinda hurts the travel budget. But, I have electric out there so I can do some "RVPort" camping

Forgot to mention in my pics above that I must appologize for all the dirt and black streaks. If you look closely, the neighbor beyond the fence is doing construction right now (see the big pile of dirt) and there's so much dirt in the air.

Camping in the south
We went to Perdido Key, FL and camped in Playa Del Rio over Thanksgiving. The weather was beautiful all week until Thanksgiving evening. We will probably go camping next weekend at a nearby state park. There are some advantages to living in the south. However, there are disadvantages and I'd move in a minute if I didn't have family here.

We went to Black Rock Mountain Sp in Georgia. We love the area in was a little cool but nice. When you live in Florida a little cool weather can be very refreshing. Plus there is a nice little inn that has a very nice Thanksgiving dinner. Tammy loves the no dishes to wash.
