Tank Indicators

I recently purchased a 92 Saturn t-2054. I am new to owning a camper with holding tanks, so please bear with me. I know in most campers, there is some sort of indicator that lets you know how full your black and gray water tanks are. In mine, there are none. Is it supposed to have them, and if so, where?

I have a 1983 T-1550 and a 1996 T-2053 of which neither have tank indicators. I believe the T-2053 tank indicator was available as an option in that year.

It appears it was a standard feature on the T-2362 on up.

Check the files/brochures for 1992.

Thanks for the info. With no indicators, how am I supposed to know how full my tanks are and when to drain them?

For the gray tank, if you reach full it will back up in the shower.

For the black, take a flash light, push the foot pedal on the toilet and look down the hole.

Don't feel too left out with no indicators. You learn after enough camping when you will be approaching full or close to it. And then there are many with tank sensors that they do not work well or at all. They need to have a good clean system for the senors to work correct. Paper and junk short the probes out. Sometimes they never shut off and the tank is empty indicating full or part full.

We have a 99 Solaris and the tank sensors read full all the time. Trust me, you'll know when it's time to empty. Lol

If you have empty tanks and a full water tank by the time the fresh water is empty you can be assured it's time to empty at least the gray tank the black can go till next time. The only sensor I ever had that actually worked were SeeLevel ones but they won't work on the flat Sunline tanks they are not high enough.
