T-1950 vent replacement

Hello,

It is time to replace the front and rear vents on my T-1950 (2006 model year) travel trailer.

I live in south Florida and the vents seem to be dry and brittle from the sun.

I went to the owners manuel and could not find the manufacturer of the vent.

Would any 14X14 vent do the job or do I have to stick with the original manufacturer of the vents?

Thank you in advance for the information.

Ray

Ray, if you just want to replace the plastic covers, remove one and take it to your local RV parts counter. They can match it. If you want to replace the entire assembly, any of the 14x14 vents will do. There are several good threads in the repairs and maintenance section on replacing the entire vent assembly.

FWIW, many of us have the MaxxAir vents added to our existing roof vents. They provide extra protection for the 14x14 vent covers, and allow you to leave the vents open, even in the rain. Several good threads on them, too.

Here's an old thread that should help out:

Note that CW has changed their web page. The cover you need is the bottom one on CW's page. Roll the mouse across the picture to see a nice magnification of the hinge.

Yes by all means, replace your vents and install the Max Air covers. Better yet, replace the one toward the front with the 12v fan if you ever dry camp and need some ventillation.
