T-1950 Home at last

We picked up our Suline Saturday morning. The dealer setup the truck with a new ball, brake controler and anti sway device. The trailer pulls like a dream. The F150 did well, the V6 had it rolling along between 55-60 pretty comfortably. I am a pretty patient tow guy it keeps them on the road. I made a couple of changes to the truck, i put a K&N in the air box , changed to 93 octane fuel and reset the computer. It seemed to help pulling the daily trailer, and it helped with the bigger trailer. Next will be changing over to high grade synthetic oils. We are very happy and the dealer was pretty good also (RV World of Lakeland, Fl).

Nick,

Congratulations on bringing the new baby home. Glade to hear there was no problems with the truck and it towed well. Sunlines have always been an easy towing trailer.

So when's the first camping trip with it?

Hutch

This Saturday & Sunday St Augustine, Fl. It is about 200 miles one way so not too far. Are the Good Sams campgrounds a good choice? Is the membership worth the 20 bucks? We are staying a state camp ground this weekend

I personally think the Good Sam membership is worth the annual dues. Between the campground discounts, its Highways magazine, and other services it’s a pretty good deal. We also have the Good Sam Emergency Road Service. Gives us a little piece of mind while traveling, plus it also covers all our kids and their cars when their away at school or traveling.

I look for campgrounds that offer the Good Sam discount and typically they're good. But like anything, there are a few bad ones. Check the campground Trailer Life or Woodalls rating to get a general idea. These ratings are typically a good bench mark and indication of what to expect at the campground.

Have a good camping trip next week-end.
