Owner's Manual for a T-1550

Needed, an owner's manual for a T-1550. Just became owners last Fall and are eager to get goin' this summer. St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. All suggestions welcome. Any owner's in my neck of the woods ? What's up with the liquidation of the company in Penn this past year, ....since we bought. What a bummer.

Hi Jon, thanks for the reply. It's a 1990 T-1550. Any help you can provide it tracking down a copy of the owner's manual would be great.

Hi Mark,

Now that I reviewed some pictures of different units, I remember there was a little booklet titled "RV Owner's Manual", however, it was issued after my 1550 was built. I tried to get a copy from Sunline a few years ago, but they didn't have any. If anyone out there has a copy of this and can scan it, please let me know. I would be willing to clean it up just like a brochure.

I could try to get you some stuff from my manuals, but it will be a while. If there's something in particular you need soon, let me know.

Hi Mark,

Most of the appliance manuals for the appliance in you have in your TT can be found on the internet.....there is a sticky on this forum, somewhere, to link you to each one. I know we had an '06 and now have an '07 and the manual is basically each appliance instruction manual......are you looking for something in particular?

Kathy & Leo, thanks too. Nah, there wasn't a burning desire to have it for a problem or a repair. I just kind of wanted one as a quick reference. I see you point, though, I may simply have to build that, one brochure or appliance manual at at time. That being said, the guy that stored it for me over-winter, thinks the ignitor is gone in the furnace. I seem to recall it's an Italian brand name furnace, I may be back to chat with you all on that with respect to getting the manual for that. Or, looking for that sticky where there might be a manual for that. (Oooops, maybe I am getting better!).

You may be able to find some valuable/useful information from these web sites that may answer some of your questions.

Also have you checked out the Files page of this web site (http://www.sunlineclub.com/files.html). This contains a lot of information (manuals, instruction sheets, etc.) on the various systems and equipment used in our Sunline trailers. Some if it was originally supplied by Sunline and others are OEM manuals. This may be another source of information that you may find useful.

Hi Everyone

I am a fellow Newfoundlanderon on the south coast of the island. I own a 89 T-1550. I think it's the same as the 90. I have the manual for it and the manuals for the refrigerator and so on. I don't have a scanner now but I plan on upgrading my printer to an all in one later this summer. I will then try to scan it if you need it. In the mean time if you have any q's, let me know and I will gladly help.

Hi Terry,

I recently bought a 1990 T1550 and would really be interested in getting a copy of the owners manual when you can scan it. One question I have is when I plug the trailer in toi the house the air works but the lights and fridge don't. I can only get the lights and fridge to work when I hook the hitch plug into my truck. One of my friends suggested that some RV's have a switch that needs to be flipped between electrical and battery operation. I've looked all over but see no switch. Any suggestions?

How old, and how charged is your trailer battery.

I believe the battery is about a year old. As far as how charged I thought it would charge just by plugging it in to the house. Shouldn't the AC overide the battery somehow when it's plugged in? My understanding was the battery was only really used for dry camping to run the lights when no AC hookup is available.

In most trailers the lights run off DC, not AC ever.

When one is plugged into AC the power for the lights comes from the 12 volt converter because it's voltage is higher than the Trailers 12 volt battery.

When there is no AC the lights run off the Trailer's battery.

I f you want to the converter in action, unplug the AC and turn on a light. Notice its brightness. Now plug in the AC and the light will significantly brighten.

If you have no lights until you connect to your truck, there is no 12 volts in your trailer. The truck is supplying the 12 volts when you're plugged in.

It could be that the fuse from your Battery is blown and your converter is not working. Both failing is a low probablity but possible.

A simple test is to measure the voltage at the converter. If your AC is plugged in and your truck is not connectyed you should measure 12 volts or greater across your convertor terminals and/or across your battery terminals.
