LED Awning Lights

Has anyone added these to their awning? If so who makes a decent kit and did you run them straight 12VDC or through the 110V power supply. Also are the lamps in the coach 1141? I want to replace them all with LEDs to conserve battery power. Have not gotten our trailer yet but am trying to pick up things slowly before we pick up our trailer so we don't go broke when we do pick it up!

Thanks!!

I have no awning lights but every thing in the camper is LED. This site may not be the cheapest but they have all most any thing LED to give you an ideal. superbrightleds.com

Mainah has good advice. We bought cheap LED's and they were junk. Invested in the ones he mentions and we are happy. Have not done 100% of the camper, but the ones we use most often. Tom made nifty boxes to put the lights in,with switches from radio shack. Over sink, over table. We have had lots of compliments on them.

It's a blend of warm and white. If you like the color of a living room then warm if you want light go with the white. The rating is in degrees K the higher the number the whiter the light your house hold screw in bulbs are 2500 to 2700 K then cool white is 3500 to 4500 and then you start to get into the day light (very white with a blue color also) it is similar to bright sun light at about 5000 to 6500*K. The white LED's do make more light per watt and for older folks like my self it helps us see a little better. If you like ambiance then warm LED's are what you want.

Mainah has done a super job on this camper. It's full of interesting and ingenious details. Maybe we can twist his arm to come to a M&G and show it off again. It is truly a work of art.

Mainah, how about Nick's Lake this year???
