Talking Installing a vent

Hi,
Eric here again, new to the forum. I have 2 trips under my belt with my new, (to me), 87 Saturn. My question for the group, I want to install a vent over the dinette, does anyone have the info as to the spacing on the celing studs? I'd hate to cut through something if I didn't have to.
Thanks,
Eric Hedin

Hi Eric

I do not know for sure on your 87. However the newer ones where built ion 16" centers like modern housing. If you have one of those electric stud finders it might work on the ceiling inside. That is unless the metal roof will drive stud finder nuts.

Maybe push up gently on the ceiling and see if you can find the 16" centers point. Start at a ceiling seam and work out from there.

Hope this helps

John
