Honda Eu200 and a T-1950

Hi Folks,

I have a 2007 Sunline T-1950 Solaris and have just purchased a Honda Eu2000 generator for dry camping.

Has anyone used the EU2000 for the air conditioner which I believe is 11,000 btu.

As both the trailer and the generator are NEW, I would not like to do damage to either. Thanks in advance for any information.

Ray

Honda Generator

We have a 2007 T-1950 and purchased the Honda EU3000 for camping but have not tried it yet. This weekend we may try the generator as we will be at a dog show in Mechanicsburg, PA, and may need it on Sunday. We're staying at Western Village RV Park on Friday and Saturday nights.

I have a eu2000, and can run a smaller AC off of it.....but you need to be carefull.

Its the startup of AC that is the issue. Once that spikes, you are in the clear. You also want to set the cool setting to high to keep the AC from cylcling too much once running.

We could run the A/C off of one Honda 2000 IF we turned off everything else, first. It may also help if you install an easy start capacitor on the A/C. You can buy one at an appliance parts supply store.
That worked okay to run the A/C at night while we slept. But we couldn't use the microwave or watch tv in the evenings at the same time the A/C was running.
