Furnace Vent Repair

Just thought I'd pass along a neat fix for that furnace vent grill under the sink on a Sunline Solaris. The original metal grate was kicked in and bent so I was seeking a replacement at a local hardware store. The stamped grill material was way bigger than I wanted so I looked for an alternative. I found a section of plastic gutter guard that looked like it might do the trick so for $3.00 or so I took a piece home. After centering it and cutting to size I found it would fit in the slots inside the wood frame perfectly. I could have left it white but the Mrs. preferred black and so it went. I have included a few photos to show some of the process that may be viewed in the album Our 1995 Sunline Solaris.
