extra water tank? cabinet bed no mattress? BBQ grill sugg.

hello,
I got to dig in a bit on the 2460 today and I realized that there is another water tank been added under the bottom bunk?? Not sure why other than maybe the previous owner was doing alot of primitive camping?? I over filled the tanks not realizing what was going on and the overflow got started flowing and emptied the tanks? Weird but on the second try I filled the tanks slower and kept an eye on the water level and all was fine. Not sure of actual capacity now but it must be more than 32 gallons.

I opened up the cabinet bunk and found no mattress?? Unless I am supposed to use the cushions from the kitchen table seat? I am sure I can find some thick foam to make a mattress for up there.

One more thing can anyone recommend a portable BBQ grill reasonably priced and explain what I need to hook up to the tanks from the TT? I know I saw something on here but can't find it again.

thanks john

BBQ

I'll let someone else familiar with the 2460 answer those questions.

We have a cheap steel $40. BBQ with a disposable cylinder connector on the regulator. I don't like those cylinders for many reasons and bought a widely available 10 ft. adapter with a POL end to go on the coach's cylinders. It's a bit of a pain pulling off the cover and hooking in the extra hose, but what the hey, I'm camping, not a big deal. These little BBQs are fine for the two of us--4 at the most. It cooks just as well as my mega bucks SS cast iron burners etc. model at home and if I didn't need the extra cooking surface from time to time I would use el cheapo all the time, it is that good.

So far I have not bothered hooking up the RVQ type pipe at the side of the coach. RVQ BBQs are pretty expensive and don't have a regulator, using the coach's regulator to deliver low pressure gas. My brother hooked his up himself for a Weber BabyQ which also has a regulator and it works very well too. I'm no gas technician, but suppose once the gas is regulated at the main cylinders, running it through a second regulator on the BBQ does not reduce the pressure further?? I haven't seen that discussed anywhere though.

Henry

Rather than mess with the gas bottles/hoses on the camper, I bought a small 5 lb gas bottle at Gander Mountain for my grill and camp stove. It usually only needs filled once per season.
