John,
My F-304SR has the enclosed, heated tanks like your T-310SR. My tanks are recessed between the frame and the openings are covered with the same corrugated plastic material. My dump valves are located in a slightly different manner though. My valves are located completely inside the compartment with only the handles protruding from the compartment. They come out to my slide where there is a small door to open to access the dump valves. The actual capped outlet is located at the front of the slide where it protrudes slightly in an area where they rounded the slide corner to allow the outlet. From what I call tell these upgrades were done to make the trailers an "extended season unit". We stayed in the fiver a few weeks ago and it got down to the low 20's at night. Everything was great, the wood floor in the kitchen wasn't even cold. The furnace didn't run non stop either. We would have frozen to death in that Airstream. It was insulaed about as well as a tent.
I looked at a T-310SR before buying the T-295SR and was amazed. The 310 is a fifth wheel without the "gooseneck" if you know what I mean. In my opinion that trailer was designed to emulate a fifth wheel, while being a regular trailer. I think they did a great job, the 310 is an awesome trailer. The only thing that seperates the 310 from a fiver is the front storage under the bedroom.

Thanks for the info. On the dump valves, my T310 valves are buried up in side with only a pull rod. But I do not have this door you are referring too.

Do you by chance have any pics of your T304SR showing your little door you are referring to and other arrangements?

Since you have one of these, extended season units, Did Sunline publish any info on what temps are considered camp'able in?

Come spring I will drop this plastic cover down to inspect, paint the frame and add more foam board insulation in the weak spots. But I'm trying to back into what folks actually do with them.

I know they won't be able to do all day cold, but trying to extend more fall and early spring nights with water, helps.

Thanks

John

John,
If you have your Sunline notebook there should be an order sheet in there with all the options listed. In my 2006 brochure it does list enclosed tanks as an option, so I'm guessing it was an option in 2004 as well. We camped in 26 degrees last week and were fine even without enclosed tanks. The water hose froze, but we had disconnected that so it didn't matter.

I've been meaning to take some pics of the trailer and post them, but I read in the pictures posting thread that you need to have an online picture gallery in order to post pics. I don't have one of these. If someone could tell me where and how to set one up I'll try to do it. When I belonged to an Airstream owners group I could post pictures right from my hard drive. I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world, that's for sure, so it nees to be simple for me. I have a Kodak camera with the easyshare software, so I just store all my pics on the computer. I'm willing to at least try.

http://www.shutterfly.com is pretty straightforward and easy to use.

Good luck!

There are a lot of free pic hosting sites out there. In fact your Kodak Easy share should have one too. I have a Kodak camera and it has that csite, but I never use it.

I use http://photobucket.com/

If you keep your pic in size down to 50K, 640 x 480 size you can store a whole bunch there for free. They want to get you to upgrade to Photo Bucket pro, but if you say no, that’s OK they still let you have the free account.

My account says it has 1,478 images…. Never realized I had that many, never counted yet or figured out what they consider an image actually is…

I joined in June of 2005 and have only used 6% of my total free account….

There are other free sites, WebShots, Flicker and more.

We WANT to see your camper. So let us help you get set up. Pic’s on this site are part of the best part.

John,
I went to the site that Steve listed, shutterfly, and got a whopping 3 pictures uploaded in about 45 minutes. I guess I'd better check the size of the pictures. Out here in Wellsville the phone company doesn't offer DSL, so I'm stuck with NetZero High Speed. It's not horrible but I had my internet through Comcast at our old house, so I was spoiled. I've had this ISP since we moved last year and I don't know how much more I can take. I'm about to break down and pay Comcast $47 a month just for internet service. I'm going to try to get some pictures on here tomorrow, come heck or high water.

Thanks, I'll have to look. In my T2499 we bought new in 2004, I do not recall this, but I'll look again.

H'mm if you did 26 with no enclosed tanks, WOW. Bet washing ones face in the morning on cold, was really cold.... I would be sweating bullets and want doing something in that range. I lost an engine block one time with raw water (no antifreeze at all) when we had a real cold snap down to 20 in September one year and never forgot it....

When we camp close to freezing temps, I always bring about 2 gallons of RV antifreeze with me in case I get caught. We have remote outside digi thermometer. I can dump some down the tanks to dilute the black and gray tanks if needed. Water with traces of antifreeze freezes different then pure water, more is sheets/slush then a sold slug. At least in the 15 to 20 degree range. I never tested this in an RV, but it is more from agricultural equipment.

Thanks

John

GREAT. Can't wait. And let us know if you need help. Size, yeh watch the size. I take all my pics in high res then save down to smaller res to post.

If someone posts a few meg photo and does not have high speed Inet, well when they go to view it, they too take forever to even see it....

Also keep the pics now more then 640 pixels wide. If you go over that then it throws our screens all off and start scrolling the posts.

Ok, I'm officially getting frustruated. I did read the post for posting a pic and fully understand it, but the address that comes up when I check the properties doesn't include the .jpeg designation at the end. Just a bunch of mumbo jumbo with no picture format designation. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

OK just do a raw cut and paste of the web link you are trying to use here so we can see what you are looking at. It will not post the pic , but I can follow the trial back to to the pic.

I went to the Shutter fly site. Actually it might be a good option for me too some day... but I cannot quickly figure out what format they are using to help guide you.

Send us some hints and we will help back you into this.

John

That's what I did, finally got tired of messing around. Maybe tomorrow I'll try photobucket. The post and the links are in the fifth wheel section.
