Electric tongue jack question....

We have a Barker 3000 electric tongue jack on our 03 Sunny. I'm thinking it's about five or six years old.
Currently it only works pushing the trailer upward, it will not go down. I've checked the continuity of the switch, it seems to respond correctly. I've tried to bypass the switch, by touching the 12v. incoming power to the lines to the motor with no results at all.
The motor is not shorted to ground as far as I can tell.
All connections are free of corrosion.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
T

Did you try greasing the jack?? Mine gets slow if I don't grease it once a year.
Chuck.

Try reversing the power leads to the battery and see what happens. If it goes up the motor is fine all the switch does is change polarity. If it goes down but not up you'll know there is an issue with the switch.

I have a Barker 3500 and the switch went bad. I called them and they sent me a new switch, no charge

Thank you. I'll try these suggestions, as well as checking that I'm grounded properly. Any other comments are also welcome!

Like what was mentioned above. Call Barker, they are great supporting their products. A fine Michigan company I may add!

Well, as Mainah suggested, I reversed the leads and found it was indeed the switch, regardless of my checking continuity. Barker sent me a new one, at $15. Just so you all know the rest of the story
