Dometic/Duo-therm thermostat

Hi gang, me again with a problem. I have to push my thermostat all the way to 90 to get the heat to come on. The # 3107612.008 on my 99 Solaris is no longer available. Anyone here replaced theirs?

Dave

Yes, I replaced mine years ago. The lack of accuracy drove me nuts. It had to go...

See this thread which shows the Hunter thermostat conversion. Works much better. +/- 1 deg regulation.

While that exact model may not be in Walmart any more, I did find it on line still for sale a few years ago. But the new replacements at Walmart or other stores may work too.

The Hunter uses relay contacts so it can work in the camper without issues of interfering. A note, many of these newer digital t stats use their own batteries. Ours I think is 2, triple AAA's. We just change them once a year and it is not a problem. If you want low speed on the AC fan, then you need to add a small toggle switch to get the 2 speed fan. In our case I never hooked up the low speed. Just run it on high.

Hope this helps

John

Thermostat

Thanks John, but I was looking for more of a direct replacement. The original isn't available now.
