Decals

We have a 2002 26' Solaris. Does anyone know where we can get replacement decals? Primarily, we need the large one on the front window shade as well as the side decals. I guess we will need the full set as the one on the rear is gone. We do not need the striping.

I'm sorry to say, most of the decals, to the best of my knowledge, were lost when Sunline shut down.

I'm not sure where you are located, but try contacting Stoltzfus RV in Adamstown, PA. I heard they picked up some of the large logos from Sunline prior to the auction. They may have some smaller ones too.

A little bird told me that Stoltsfutz has only a couple of the (snip for edit) tri-color stickers from the early 00's left.

Like 2 or 3, tops.

I may have obtained one recently for part of my "projects"

Jon's diligence and confusion when he talked to them (along with my confusion and inability to see the colors right in front of me (not due to an actual medical condition, just general exhaustion from work) have led us to determine that

THE DECALS AT STOLTZFUS (sp?) are the '00-'01 (right years Jon?) Tri-color ones.

The parts mgr. there had sent me an email showing the newest style, and I couldn't really tell what I had gotten as the decal is still on its backer- but I got it back out again and compared them to photos Jon sent me- and Hark! The decal angel sung.

One other option is to contact a good vehicle graphics shop (used to be called truck lettering..... )

If you can find a good picture of your old logo, or have enough of it on the trailer left for them to work with, they can reproduce just about anything. And probably better than the original. As Jon (Sunline Fan) can tell you, there were several production years of Sunlines where the materials used for the graphics were not up to par.

Greg,

I found out in early December that Stoltzfus only had the '02-'05 logos left, like your coach has. They no longer had anything else, including the '06-'07 large logo with the orange sun. The '02-'05 ones had more of a goldish sun. Did you get one like your coach has, or did you get a '06-'07? I have wanted to add one of those new style ones to my collection, but they're no where to be found.

It's very orange....dark orange....

not like the gold one on our coach, definitely (eta: NOT) the new style one.

ETA: see the above post of mine- Jon and I (mostly Jon and his files) figured out they are the older tri-color ones....

I am going to try to find a BIG sheet of tracing paper (or the like) and some sheets of vinyl (or the like) big enough to make stencils with witness holes to line them up properly to layer the colors. Then I can make my own logo anytime I need, and with a "shrinker" copy, make smaller ones too.

It should be good for home airbrushing if I can make them nice enough. I was quoted $150+ for a new decal to be made up....
