Yours was the T2553 I had seen.
See this layout on our prior T2499. This too is a center pass through bath just front bed room. The fresh tank is forward of the axles. And when you fill it, this floor plan gains around ~ 190ish pounds of tongue weight. This tank is under the camper. They could of put it under the front bed.
Ideally on this floor plan they would of put the fresh tank over the rear axle. Very little TW change then. The pump could of been right above it under the kitchen sink.
Yours could of gone under the camper in a shallower and wider tank in almost the same location. Just they chose to put in inside.
Well, maybe some day this may be figured out. And it might be there was not a lot of thought to it. Some places it fits in side, some it does not.
After seeing/dealing with leaking tank fittings, especially the green striped hose... not having that tank inside may be a good thing.
