Battery

Newbie owner here: I just purchased a 1979 1350 Sunline. I am confused because I cannot understand how the battery hooks up. The battery is there, but I can't find where the cables are located. Any ideas?

Welcome! Where is your battery on the tongue or under one of the front benches inside?

If it's on the tongue, the wiring should be coming from under the floor somewhere. Crawl underneath the trailer and look about a foot or so back under the floor. There should be an area where the wires come out from. Hopefully you find them tied up under there, but they could be cut off. It should be pretty close to where your seven way trailer plug for the lights wires into.

Thanks so much. The battery is on the tongue. I haven't had a chance to check yet, but if the wires are cut, what is the next step?

Look under the front of the camper for the battery cables starting at where the battery would be and follow it from there. I'm not sure on a 79 model but the heavy battery cables have to go up in side the camper. Usually in the area where the power converter and or 12 volt fuses are located.

It would be odd a prior owner cut the cables, but one never knows... Take a look and report back.
