Back Home w/Camper
Hi Kitty and All, Got home abt 9:30PM or so. Totally uneventful trip. My driver (son) was not overly concerned abt tires and said the wx checking was not vry advanced. OK so maybe I just like worry.
First I had to give Bon (wife) and Sarah (Black Lab) the grand tour they were both vry happy with what they saw. Sarah thought the Master Bed was real nice.
The Camper:
The Refrigerator/Freezer work great.
Does the refrigerator have a drip pan or something??
cuz I noticed a little puddle in front and to the right of it. It had been running
all day with some frost in the freezer.
The Furnace works great and is ducted to several areas.
Can't find the Vin, look on the front hitch frame etc, no joy and I don't have an old registration.
I just measured along the outside and it's aprox 20' but no more.
Cannot find any sign of roof leak anywhere, spent a lot of time trying.
The propane tanks are the original & still have propane in them.
Previous owner guessed the propane was over 20yrs old.
Gotta get the new kind of tanks.
No sewer drain hose anywhere, did ck rear bumper.
Found a white hose double female fittings vry short, fresh water???
No Battery on front or anywhere, wires are out front.
Lights, RR signal is intermittent.
RF marke out
R top markers all out
All lenses look a tad faded
Like to replace the all with original shape but LED, dream on ??
Tomorrow, catch up on chores, then maybe some camper time.
I'll continue to let you folks know what I up to with it if ur interested.
Take Care,
Ray

Hi Ray,
Glad to hear you made it home safely. I would have been worried about the tires, too.
You may have a sticker on the outside near the front on the OD side with the vin#. If that sticker isn't there, the vin# in under the threshold of the front entry door (you'd have to remove the metal strip). When you find the vin#, you can add it to Sunline Fan's registry and he may be able to tell you more about it.
I don't know what refridgerator you have. We have a two-door 6 cu ft. There is a drip tray at the back of the fridge just below the cooling fins.
Maybe it's just me, but I would prefer to buy my own stinky slinky.
Yes, the white hose is for incoming water.
It's a good feeling to not find any water leaks/damage. Be sure to check around windows and at the wall along the floor, too (gravity).
You will probably want to get a plastic battery box to keep the battery out of the elements.
Sunline measured total length (tongue and bumper included).
I don't know much about the electrical system, but I'm sure one of the guys will be along to help.
Enjoy your new-to-you Sunline and welcome to SOC!

Hi Ray,
Your VIN should also be on a similar tag on the left side of your tongue, probably under where the LP tank hangs over. There's an aluminum tag that it's stamped into and then riveted to the frame.
The sticker Dona mentions has a very good chance of not being there, but it may. Searching in the daylight will be much easier. The stickers from this generation have not survived very well. Here's what one would look like:
Jon

Hi Jon & Poppy & Nana, well first, Jon, that sticker is mostly gone. I did find the vin & I'll bet you've rec'd it by now. Do please when you've time let me know what it tells you.
Poppy & Nana, Tnx for the gud wishes & I already know of one pic I've gotta post cuz I have a question abt something.
Another thing, with the marker lights aside, almost everything I've tested seems to be working just like new. One exception, I can't get the pump to turn on, I guess there's a breaker panel under the master bed & hoping maybe they'll be a sperate breaker for that. I've not checked yet cuz I need a light to see with which is what brought me back inside. I have OLD Eyes.
Later,
Ray

Poppy & Nana, No danger of that, I can't as of yet get it to run. Don't have a clue why.
Later,
Ray
