Audio Upgrade Problem

Hi all,

I am replacing the factory stereo in my '98 T2670 Solaris with a Pioneer car audio head unit with ipod integration. I cut the harness off the factory unit and spliced into the appropriate wires coming from the pioneer unit. I also fabbed up a mounting board for the unit. Last night when I went to install the unit I plugged in the unit to the trailer and it worked fine. I pulled it to make an adjustment to the mounting board and when I plugged it back in nothing works. I've checked all of the connections, from the harness to the head unit and nothing jumps out. The fuses on the converter and the battery fuses under the bed are intact. The fuse on the stereo unit itself is good. I have power to the harness attached to the trailer.

Am I missing something? Did I brick my stereo?

TIA

Andy

DF5.4 is an unknown quantity at this point
If all your power is there, is it possible you disconnected a ground?

Andy,

Some of the newer units have an antitheft wiring harness. If you cut the wires, it disables the unit. Call Pioneer to see if this is the problem.
