1985 16' Sunline TT
We are going to look at a 1985,16'TT on Sat to replace our 12 1/2 MC we just sold. Does anyone know the dry wt (approx)? Seller not sure, also anything special I should check on this model? It looks to be mostly original except for curtains & cushions
Any input appreciated..Thanks

If it is the one on Facebook, I was just talking about that model this afternoon. If I had known about Sunlines sooner that would have been the model I would have sought out. T1661?

16' was a weird range for Sunline, some were single axle and some were tandem. Weight can vary due to that. Have to know a floorplan to drill down on weight.

If so, that's a T-1661. 2630 lbs.

Correct, GVWR. Dry weight is irrelevant besides when packing it with stuff.

here's an idea
I wasn't 100% sure what our dry weight was either. So I emptied everything (personal stuff) out of the trailer, all tanks were empty. then I drove to the nearest weigh scale. The one I used was where we take scrap metal. I went up to the window and told the girl my intentions.
I drove tow vehicle and trailer on to the scale. Got the total weight. Then I went back to the parking lot and unhooked the trailer from the tow vehicle and weighed just the car. Total weight subtract tow-vehicle weight is the actual dry weight of the trailer . She gave me a print-out of the two weights and I gave her $5 to buy coffees.
The only extras I had was an awning and an AC unit and a second battery. Take all that into consideration when weighing. But that was the dry weight of my trailer. Can't remember the weight because that was a few years ago and have sold the trailer since.
Hope that helps

Thank you, that does help, we decided to pass on that camper, had some serious issues that were above our skill level.
