Hi ppetion,
Welcome to forum and congrats on your new Sunline!
I'm not the guru on the older campers of where they located the VIN's. On the newer campers, the VIN shows up in 3 places.
1. On the front left side of the camper, there is a VIN tag with weight listing, camper model, year and tire sizes.
2. Inside the camper, most times in a kitchen cabinet on the back side of the door, (sometimes a bathroom cabinet), there is a weight sticker which lists the model, VIN and cargo capacity weights.
3. In case all else is lost, under the lower threshold plate at the main entry door there is a sticker with the VIN. You have to take the screws out and lift up the threshold plate.
The older campers, have no. 3 above, and they "might" have the VIN on a tag stamped into A frame of the camper up by the ball coupler. I myself have never seen one of them, but heard there are on the A Frame.
For model number, if you know the year, then you can back into a model from our brochures. On the top of the forum are several "Tabs". They are hot links to over areas of the forum. Look for the tab called, "FILES" & click it, then look for "Brochures", go in there, find your year and download a copy of that years camper brochure. Then look through the floor plans until you can find the model you have.
If you need help, post a picture showing all 4 sides of the camper and we can help you back into the year and model. We have a historian, SunlineFan who is our guru on the older campers. He has then all about stored in his head I think...
On a manual, see this post for help.

However the manual will not tell you where the tanks are located. The fresh water tank is either under the camper or inside the camper, normally under the bed or other large area space. It is white'ish in color. Outside the camper is a fresh water fill spout which leads to the tank.
The black tank from the toilet, is most times mounted right under the toilet under the camper and the plastic is black in color.
The gray tank for sink and shower water if you have one, is under the camper, the tank is also black in color. Pending floor plan, this tank may be near the black tank but not always.
Look for a common plumbing discharge dump pipe that you will hook up a sewer hose to. This is like a 3" pipe. Then follow the pipes back the black and gray tank.
Hope this helps
John
