Hello hoozat,

I have an older trailer. Not sure about yours but in mine there is a breaker in the circuit breaker box for the converter. I actually have two - one for the converter and receptacles and the other is for the AC unit. As soon as I turn the breaker on you can hear the converter come on.

Thanks,
Tommie

It does sound like your power converter is not working right. Yours is new enough being in a Que that it should be able to power the camper "with out" a battery installed.

Try this, I'm assuming yours has an outside battery disconnect switch. Most all new campers starting in 2004 and newer had them from Sunline as standard equipment. Turn that battery disconnect switch off. Plug in the camper to 120 VAC shower power and see if any lights work.

If yes then we need to dig deeper into this. If no lights or any other 12 VDC items are working, then for reasons not yet known odds are high your power converter is not working.

First, look and see if any circuit breakers are tripped. Reset and try again.

Look and see if any fuses are blown, if any replace the blown fuses and try again.

If you still have nothing, odds are high then your power converter is not working right, it could be bad.

What brand and model converter do you have, Maybe a WFCO brand? if so what model?

Power converters going bad is a common thing, especially the American Enterprise, WFCO and the Centurion. The real old ones seems to still be working, just they are not that great of a power converter... Making clean 12 VDC that is and not great battery chargers.

Hope this helps

John

Look for a 30 amp fuse.
