Pam....
On our shakedown, we had some seepage from the vertical seam between the faucet handle and the moveable faucet itself. As all the leakage (which occurred only when the faucet was turned on) ran into the sink and down the drain (not under it), I didn't tear into it.
Based on your post, the seepage must be running down through the sink mount to the underside of the fixture, then leaking onto things underneath.
Although my Que is in storage 10 miles away and I won't get a chance to work on it for weeks, I do have a suggestion for your short-term use.
If you look up at the underside of the sink where the faucet is attached, you should be able to see if a gasket is present to seal the faucet against the sink. If there is a gasket and you can tighten the faucet against the gasket, you may be able to force whatever leakage you get to simply leak into the sink...as with mine.
I will look through my owner's documentation and try to research that weird european-design faucet to see if I can find any useful information. If I do find anything ....I'll share it here at once.
