Cargo Carrying Capacity For Que SE, I have conflicting sources

I'm leaving Monday to drive 2000 miles over mountains with my Que and am curious how much I can load in it. I have three different sources with different numbers:

The 2nd source puts the dry weight at 2,700 lbs while the 3rd source at 2,920 lbs. The 1st has it as "base unit" 2,920 lbs and axle 2,620 lbs. Since the 1st and 3rd source agree the hitch is 300 and that is the difference between the base unit and axle weight, I'd assume "base unit" means dry trailer + hitch, is that correct?

I'm still not clear about the discrepancy between the 2nd and 3rd source. One dry weight is 2,700 lbs and the other is 2,920 lbs. Can anybody explain this? If not, I'll calculate based on the higher dry weight to be safe but it'd be great if it turns out there is an extra 220 pounds of cargo capacity.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

Inside the camper there should be an actual weight sticker and the VIN number for your specific camper the day it left Sunline. This weight sticker is usually on the inside door of a kitchen cabinet but may also be in a bathroom cabinet if it does not show up in the kitchen. That sticker is the actual one to use. Any options ordered with the camper would show up under this weight. Also to note, the weight sticker talks about LP gas weight and water weight. The camper was shipped "dry" to the dealer, there was no battery or LP gas in the tanks when it was shipped. Odds are you have a battery now and LP gas in the tanks. Make sure you add that weight into your cargo.

The top floor plan weight, that is a "generic" weight of the Que. It is not exactly your camper but is of the Que series for that year.

The other 2 stickers look like they are from a brochure. And the years and printings of them can be different. One of those Que's is 7" longer then the other. I'm "guessing" they changed the camper slightly along the way and that extra 7" adds more weight of something.

If you can find it, find the weight sticker inside the camper, that is the real one.

Have a good trip next week.

John
