OK, First I must admit I did have "help" doing these two mods.
1st mod: On my 2499 the outside light is located mid-coach, and my door is near the rear. The door swings towards the front, so when door gets opened it basically "blocks" the light, making the entry pretty dark. Well, we installed a second "outside" light to the left side of the door frame, tapped into the current light switch, and now I can see the steps at night. I chose to just wire the second light with the first instead of adding another switch.
2nd mod: I now have back-up lights on Sunny. I know these don't help "me" a lot, but my 9 previous used Sunlines had them. I wanted them because they let "attentive" drivers know I have the rig in reverse. NO back up beeper, that would annoy too many folks. Power for the backup lights comes from the center pin of the plug. My truck center pin was prewired as backup lights., and there was a yellow wire from the trailer plug to the fuse box for auxillary use, so just added on to the wire, ran it to the rear, snaked it up in the back wall to the tail lights, replaced the tail lights and connected wires. YEEHAW, now I have backup lights. Where can I back up ? When can I back up?? How soon can I back up ???

You can also see my "STRESS" crack at the top right corner of my door . It WAS caulked with "clear" silicone, but sure looks dirty!
