twin bed conversion to queen

anyone convert separate twin beds to a single queen (T-2453)?

Just curious how easy it is to remove the center wardrobe cabinet from the ceiling and back wall?

I mean, it's going to be a job, but it could be done. The cabinet will be screwed in from the outside like all the rest, so in order to remove it cleanly, you'd need to pull exterior skin off and unscrew it.

Thanks for the reply SunlineFan. I also hate to rip out such great cabinetry, but i've now come across 2 very clean units in my price range that are outfitted with twin beds and I was just contemplating what a queen conversion would be like. One of the owners mentioned putting a plywood bridge across the 2 beds and sleeping sideways, but that just doesn't sound reasonable to me.

My search continues.

To be honest, if you rip everything out you will still have to put that queen bed sideways or crawl up into it from your hallway--you only have the same length as those twins to work with. And dont forget you will have water tank etc to deal with..You may as well look for another with a walk around queen. JMHO of course....
Personally I always enjoyed the extra floor space the twin beds gave me....

Great info Janalee. I'm not huge at 5'8" but I'm a restless sleeper and a twin bed is too small for me to be comfortable. I'll be patient a while longer and wait for something with a larger bed.
