Transport Toy Hauler Generator Mods?

Does anyone know if a 2007 Transport Toy Hauler that was built without the factory Gen Ready Option can be modified to accept a Generator?

I'm a firm believer that 'where there's a will, there's a way.' What you don't know how to do yourself can always be accomplished by huge handfuls of money given someone who does.

It's most cost effective buying carry along generator that you can plug into your trailer's 'shore power' pigtail. If you've got your mind set to get an onboard genny, I'm sure if it was a factory option you can find someone to do the job who can get the unit mounted, wires run, gas/exhaust fumes vented, and other safety feautures you'd need like fire shielding, etc.

Take care,
Jason

Hello and welcome to the group. I believe I am only 1 out of 2 members of this group that has this factory option. Mine is propane I would be more than willing to take photos of it for you.

The major thing that Sunline did while building my unit was installing the interior hour meter with on/off switch, the wiring/plug for connecting the unit to gen power VS shore power and building the "compartment"

When I was ready to spend the money, I had a local dealer install the Onan 3600LP unit and complete the install. They did the propane and electrical connections when they installed it.

Being single, I went with an installed unit, to eliminate one less thing to be loaded/unloaded. But, now, I believe IF I had a chance to "do over", I would opt for a stand alone gasoline unit. Cheaper $$$ all they way around, and can be used without the trailer.

I'm curious, about the amt of propane your generator uses. Have ever look at this in any way. Hours/tank or do you have any thoughts on that.

I have a 6500 watt stand alone (gasoline), generator for emergency bakup at my house and it goes through gas pretty quick, but if the lights are on and people can shower etc. the cost of operation doesn't seam as important.
