Hi Dan

My 2004 has the 2 1/4" hole in the A frame. My Atwood 3500 HD fits this hole well. The really older trailers, and lighter, are more common on the 2”. I would not think your 2005 T264SR has a 2”. Even my 2004 T2499, 7,000# GVWR has the 2 1/4" hole.

What may help is if folks who have a 2005 if they do not know the hole size, to at least stated what power jack they have. Then you can look up that jack and find out what hole it fits in. Which is what I did as the camper is sort of snowed in right now…. and I forgot exactly but I remember myself going thru this what size hole is in there....

John

Sorry Dan

Yes I "Think" your 2005 on a 8,600# GVWR frame has the hole for a 2 1/4" tongue jack.

You will be a happy camper with a power tongue jack. It is one of those things that once you have it, you will never go back to the hand crank...

FWIW, My 2002 T2363 has the larger hole so I would guess it may have been common at least then.

The smaller hole would be for jacks rated for less than 2000 pounds. I think the common rating was 1500.

I know Sunline used these small jacks through 1994 or 1995. They were only used on the smaller trailers, with the 2251 being the largest.

Sunline upgraded to the 2000 lb jacks on the 2362 and larger models, and I'm pretty sure eventually they used the 2000 lb on everything, including like the 1950.

Dan,
I put a BullDog jack on my 1994 last year. The jack fit perfectly through the top hole but would not go through the bottom one. I had to use a reamer to make the bottom hole slightly larger. Here is link to my post with pics. My tube was 21/4"

You will love the power jack. One thing I did learn last year is be careful not to bottom your jack out and leave it bottomed out when leveling your camper. We were on a very uneven site and I put my jack all the way down to get TT level. After we spent 5 days on the site my jack was stuck.
Now if I get into that situation I will hit the up button and bring my jack up slightly so its not bottomed out.

Bob, did you have a small jack on originally? My '94 2363 came with a large one originally because the guy had a power jack put on and included the original one too.

You do remind me of a good point though. Pretty much any jack should fit through the top hole. That is usually pretty big. It's that bottom plate that becomes the problem.

Dan if you would, update us on how you like the bulldog after some use, they look like nice jacks but you rarely hear them talked about, but if my ultra-fab ever quits I might get a bulldog I like the 4000lb capacity and it has the adjustable foot like my ultra which has come in very handy several times.

Jon,
My TT had the original factory hand crank jack. Measuring with a tape it looks to be 2-1/4". My guess as to why the new jack didn't fit was maybe the tube was a little thicker. I didn't have to enlarge the hole much.

Rich,
I did a lot of research on the forums about jacks, the selling features for me on the Bull Dog were;
1) the adjustable foot
2) 5 year warranty
3) 4000lb rating.

I wanted a jack that would last and could have the capacity to be moved to a larger TT a few years down the road when we upgrade. The only downside to the Bull Dog is it doesn't come with a hand crank, it uses a socket and extension. Had to make sure I added one to the TT tool box.

Bob actually the socket and extension would be a plus because in order to use the hand crank on my ultra-fab I have to remove my propane tanks,I really need to make up an adapter to run the jack with my cordless impact because that is some slow cranking by hand.
