We went to our annual RV show, a showcase for new TT and RV stuff.
I see a lot of newer trailers with that checker plate or diamond plate acting as a stone guard on the front of the TTs.
I touched it kind of like kicking the tires and it seems a little flimsy (thin). It comes in a chrome finish and a black finish (most likely a powder coat) I was thinking about ordering a sheet of that stuff and placing on the front of out 1985 T1350. I try to keep things original and this is definitely NOT original. I asked one of the dealers and he said the stuff is available after market but not cheap ~~~ $180 per sheet. The ones I am looking at are laid over top of the trailer's original siding and not part of the siding.
Has anyone with a used trailer ever used this stuff?
Is it any good or should I avoid it?
It might enhance the look but it might also take away from MY TTs original look. The picture above is the closet I could find that shows the product. A quick look at my avatar shows my TT
