Replacing carpet in an SR-260

The old, faded carpet has got to go. Has anyone replaced their carpet with Pergo or something similar? My SR-260 has a 13' slide-out. Does that become a problem if I use laminate flooring or sheet vinyl?
I'm open to suggestions and any and all tips, suggestions are surely appreciated.

Thanks,
charlie

This is replacement laminate flooring in our T-276SR. We had to cut the vinyl to repair some support issues under the floor and the vinyl shrunk approximately 1 1/2" when cut. We replaced the vinyl in the bath and main cabin with this material and have been very happy with it. No problems with the slide.

The laminiate was not that thick, no more than 1/4" and three blocks per piece.

Thanks for the response.

My concern is the area under the slide when closed. My coach is carpeted in that area. What effect removing the carpet and replacing with laminate or vinyl will have. Will the slide mar the new floor. Is there something that will protect the new floor if that is a problem?

Just don't want to buy a bunch of materials before I attempt this project.

Don't know if there is a difference in construction, but we have had no issues with marks and our unit had vinyl there before and no issue with that either.
