Referigerator/Freezer Door Security

After too many bumpy backroads where we would get into the camper only to find the fridge and freezer doors had come open spilling valuable food all over the floor, I rigged up this safety straps to keep them closed.

Very inexpensive and easy to do, and took maybe ten minutes total.

Bought a package of Picture Hangers at the neighborhood hardware store and screwed them on each side of the refer/freezer doors

Bought a 10' piece of double sided velcro at the same hardware store. This feeds through the loops and double backs onto itself.

When we're traveling, I make sure to fasten the velcro over the doors like this. Always make sure to keep the soft fuzzy side against the fridge to not harm the surface. This also wipes clean any hand prints left from those late night snack attacks.

When we're camped, we just unhook the right side of the velcro, and allow the strap to dangle on the left side of the fridge. There is a little space over there, and you dont even notice the black straps hanging there.

Now miles of backroad like this one that we traveled on for 50 something miles in Baja wont allow the cervezas to be scattered along the floor when we get to our beach side campsite

How's this for being camped in a tropical paradise!?!

Pat

While the road to camp looks, "rustic" and a little rough.... the camp site sure looks GREAT!!!! WOW

Thanks for your cool pic's as usual

John
