Rasing my Sunline
Hey Folks, we have a 2003 T 2475 Sunline & it sits too low to the ground! We bent the jack & one of the leveling jacks this weekend pulling into our spot at a festival!! Just wondering if there is a way to lift the trailer up some to keep this from happening? Tried raising the hitch but that only made the ass end drag!!! If anybody has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated!

Several members have "flipped the axles" - made the change from springs under the axle to springs over the axle. This will give several added inches of clearance.
On page 2 of this thread Tweety posted some pictures.
You can download instructions for the Dexter Axle Flip Kit by clicking the FILES tab at top of page, select "Sunline Axles and Running Gear" then "Dexter Axle Flip Kit"
For more reading, try Google Custom Search - Sunline Club. Type in "axle flip".

I just had this done on my Sunny. Martin’s in Mechanicsburg did it for under $400 including the parts. I’m very pleased how it turned out. I got about 4 inches of extra ground clearance. The Sunny towed great on the way home

Hey CC & Aaron,
Thanks for the info, definitely gonna call my RV shop today! I've come to the point of pulling the foot off the front jack to give it more clearance! It is almost twisted to 180 degrees!!!
Gratefully,
Jamie

I'm not following this. The older Sunlines used to have a wheel that attached to the jack by sliding up and twisting a little. Then they had a raised foot that did the same thing. But the newer Sunlines, and I think yours is included, should have had a low profile foot that didn't extend beyond the bottom of the jack post. Not understanding the twisting part...

Hey SF,
The foot has a pin in it that you can pull out & pull the foot off. From bottoming out so many times with the foot on it twisted to almost 180 degrees! By doing the axle flip that should raise the whole TT up enough where that shouldn't happen anymore. I'm getting it done at Media Camping Center in Fairless Hills, PA for about $300.

Jamie,
I’m gonna guess and say you have the 3”. Does the 2475 have a 7,000lb GVW? To be sure, check and see if there should be s stick on the axel itself. Mine was exactly in the middle.

No, a '03 2475 should be a 5500# GVW. The biggest trailer before going to the 7000 in fact. I'm guessing it'll be the 2 3/8", but don't quote me on that.
