QUE mods

We made a few mods to our QUE over the holidays. It was warm out & we couldn't resist Shoes have always been a storage problem for us, since DH is a runner, biker, hiker he has 4 pair of shoes at all times. I have 3 - biking, hiking, & everyday. We found horizontal canvas shoe pockets at Camping World that fit perfectly along the base of the sofa that runs along the front of the trailer. DH used a leftover piece of cherry laminate flooring, put cup hooks where the grommits are in the canvas. Then attached the board to the wood studs of the sofa. Because the sofa cushions stick out a little bit we won't even feel the shoes when the pockets are full.
We added a coat rack along the top of the side of the wardrobe. There were 5 hooks with the rack, but we really only wanted 3, so we used the other 2 as towel hooks. 1 of those is in the bath room. The other is in the kitchen.
We took the trash can out of the designated waste basket area & will use that as our laundry hamper. I have to make a couple pieces of cloth to attach to the sides of the door to keep the laundry from tumbling out. Haven't done that yet though. Plan to attach it with grommits & screw eyes.
I couldn't believe that there was no bottom shelf under the sink where the pipes are on the floor. That's way too much space to waste in such a small trailer. Went to Bed Bath & Beyond & they had the perfect metal shelf & drawer basket combo to fit under there. Also got a couple of small shelves for the upper cabinet.
DH hung one of those 3 tier round colapsing basket sets above the TV cabinet. There's wood in the ceiling in just the right spot.
That's it for now. Can't wait for it to warm up ! Our first trip is planned for Easter weekend...going to Charlottesville to visit our daughter

Poppy & Nana is an unknown quantity at this point
Well it sounds like you are really hooked! After your first outting you'll being doing much more. We have been camping in our 1950 for 2 years now and still come back with different ideas all the time.

Gosh Easter is early this year.....where we live we have to wait until late April or early May to even think about taking our our TT from storage. However the way our winter (??) is going...we could have left the TT at home and used it over the holidays. Maybe spring will come early this year!

We live in "snow country" and there hasn't been any this year! :P

Keep us posted on any other mods you may do!
