Park Power mod

The first time we took Sunny camping, I decided to do this mod. I had to remove the standard power cord access door and installed a sewer access door in it's place. The sewer door does not have the little cord flap in it. I used a Dremel tool, to cut out the mounting hole and used the metal box cover on the back for strength. I know it's a bit crooked, but it still works flawlessly!

Great idea, thank you.

Now I have a little project ahead of me.

Where do you keep the wound up cord?

Thanks for sharing

John

PS OK where does one use a sewer access door for a sewer? Never heard of that yet.

The door is actually for a sewer hose holder, the kind that usually can't hold any hose that has ends on it...

The wound up cord is rolled up and in the exterior compartment, just behind where it is needed! This way, we don't have to "Stuff" the cord in the original place.

Nice mod, I like it a lot. Never been a fan of jamming all that thick cord back into it's storage cubby, when never know how it's bending and twisting to fit.

It looks to be the exact same as on my boat to plug in at a marina. Utilizes the 30A twist lock female end when you hook up.

Thanks for sharing.

Take care,
Lode
