New curtains coming!

This is just a teaser. Gail just got new material (6 or 7 yards I think) at the fabric store's 50% off sale. The original curtains in our '83 T-1550 are light beige and brown, and are old and brittle, plus did not match the new cushions a previous owner installed. That's all gonna change. New pics soon!

That looks like the pattern of the 1990 color Berry!

You mean our cushions? Did Sunline make a T-1550 in 1990, or was Berry the only cushion pattern that year?

We've been busy with some remodeling on our '79 Sunspot (including new curtains there too - they're done) before we put it up for sale. I should have a bunch of stuff coming tomorrow that will allow me to finish the electrical upgrade on the T-1550 when I get the time.

Thanks!

Frank

The top fabric in your picture...is that a cushion in the 1550 now?

Yes, they made a 1550 in 1990 but no, Berry was only one of the color choices. They had six I believe, two regular, two that were supposed to be exclusive to StarRay, and two velour options. Berry was one of the two regular.

I'm sure I have pictures of a Berry 1550 somewhere, but here's a truck camper with it that's listed right now:

The very last page of the '90 brochure shows color swatches for all the fabrics in that color family.

Sure, that's the same stuff! These cushions of ours do not look at all 30 years old, even have a new "Do not remove this tag" on them that is easy to see. They seem to be almost new. Thanks for the info, great stuff.

They must have bought new cushions/covers for it in '89-'90 from the factory! That fabric has to be an exact match.

They don't seem even that old, but maybe. Too busy to do much, job is driving me nuts!

Was that pattern available after 1990 in Sunline's coaches? It's just hard to believe these cushions are that old. I could have sworn the people we bought the trailer from said they put the new cushions in...

Not that I know of, not as a Sunline fabric choice. It's possible they found the fabric somewhere a few years later and made the covers, but with the tags you say it has, that seems unlikely.

Sunline didn't keep too much old material around, so I doubt they had any of this fabric left for more than a year or two after that model year was over.

Sometimes fabric wholesalers sell fabric for a few years if they still have demand for it. That's how I was able to get 20 yards of the 2007 Granola couch fabric in late 2010, because the mills still had demand enough to still produce it.

Well, again, that is fascinating Jon. I need to look at that tag I mentioned a bit closer, see if there's a clue there. Berry, berry interesting...

I would be interested in knowing what's on that tag. Off the top of my head, I think it could be either Decorator Industries or more likely Page Foam Products. Page Foam made many cushions for Sunline, minus actual innerspring sofas.

It's a hard call, but it could be a 92.
