H'mm interesting. Thanks for sharing.

OK I take it you use to have the normal Sunline lower section of alum skin there and you added this over it.

Since I bought mine off the dealer’s lot I could not order the diamond plate one from the factory.

What did you make yours out of?

Did you peal back the corners weather stripping and put it in stuff it under or put it right next to it?

If I was to ever order one new, I would have added the alum diamond plate one. So far I have not had too many issues on mine other than tons of bugs mess. And it may also depends on where and what road surface to tow on. A lot of gravel towing kicks up stuff.

John

I did not have the original diamond plate and I had so many dents up front and some where just about punctured through,my previous camper had the diamond plate and it done the job but I still had a bunch of dents above the diamond plate that is why on the sunline I decided to make my own and you can see how high I have it.what I used is fiberglass wall board from homedepot one side is smooth the other side is slightly textured I installed the textured side out because the siding had a textured finish,on the sides it just buts up against the corner trim and then sealed,it's screwed across the top and bottom, the rockguard has been on two years now and works great,no polishing like diamond plate, don't stick out like a sore thumb like diamond plate but serves the purpose.
