Mounting a Flat Panel TV

We bought a 15 inch flat panel TV that we want to mount in our 1950. So far it looks like it could be mounted on the divider panel between the shirt wardrobe and the kitchen area. Looking for advice on doing this before we drill any holes.

TV Mount

We mounted an LCD TV in our T1950 exactly as you are looking to do. We used the following mount type [/img]http://www.flickr.com/photos/edziu_s/2302468710/[img]. I found it on EBay similar to a recent listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-LCD-TV-Wall-...QQcmdZViewItem
Later today I'll brave the snow get into or Sunny and send actual pixs of the installation.
The area you propose has structural wood to handle the weight and swivels so we can watch the set either from the couch or when we're in bed. Best of all it allows us to remove the TV with the twist of on knob for tranasportation[/img]

TV Mount

Ed and Theresa,

Thanks for the response. It's great to hear from someone with the same model TT who did this install. We'll be looking forward to seeing the installation pictures.

TV Mount details.....how we did it

OK here's the details as promised: First here's the mount:

Then here's the wall piece mounted on the same stud as the factory TV shelf to assure it can take the weight: . Note; there is still room for the shirt closet door to swing open.
Then here's the overall product facing the living area:

and the bed area:

and finally heres the unit packed up for travel ready to go in an old laptop PC case: .

If you need more detail please PM me and I'll provide more info.

Ed

Thanks!

The pictures are great. It's good to see the television in this position before actually doing our installation. Looks like this coming weekend we'll be getting ours in place.

Thanks again for all your help! Hope you didn't have to wade through too much snow to get the pcitures. We've not had a lot of snow here Maryland 's Eastern Shore this year.

We also have a T1950 and actually just completed the exact same install in our TT, it was really easy and it looks great! We were originally also wondering where and how to mount a 15" flat panel TV until we came across this post.....your info and pics on this was perfect. The link for the TV mount you provided worked very well since I was able to pick up the mount directly at the distributor only 20 minutes away from where I work.

Again, thanks!

Hi edzius

I have a T1950 and I was wondering where to mount the new 15" flat panel TV that I bought.

You just made my day with your post

I used the link you provide for eBay and I bought the TV mount and save money. Here in Châteauguay the same mount cost 99,00$.

I will install the mount using your pictures and I'll post the result.

Merci beaucoup.
