RayBee

Actually the new LED ones. The old lights were fine so we are not sure about what could be causing this.

Do they work? Have you touched the LED's they should not be much warmer than a cat.

RayBee,

Welcome. You say pancake lights. I'm referring to the old lights. They were bayonet 1156 type bulbs, yes?

Can you take a picture of the burnt LEDs? Do you know what your voltage is at the socket?

Last year when I first got my T1350 I saw that all my clearance lights were faded and just looked yucky. I had a couple of lights that were burned out. I knew by fixing them and replacing the old bulbs would still net the same out type of light. We know that today's lights are bright and can be seen when your towing on the highway.
It didn't take long to source all the red and amber replacement fixtures for my trailer. I was lucky where my trailer had double wiring and did not depend on the aluminum hull as a ground. The only thing I left analogue was the tail/brake lights. I wanted the same foot print as the old lights to be as near original look as possible. The brake/tail lights are still analogue but all new.
Every interior 12VDC light fixture was replaced. They were just old and faded, couple of cracks and breaks here and there.

All wiring was checked and repaired or replaced as required. right down to the 7-Round plug.

Let me tell ya, those LEDs are bright when on the highway at night.

JerryJ,

Hi. You have been rather quiet lately. You also bring something to the table I didn't think of. That being running lights and exterior fixtures. I was thinking interior overhead lights.

Ummm we've been busy camping and using the TT. and having fun with the kids. Primarily, we've been trying new (to us) camp grounds, some further away and some not that far. Driven by them a gazillion times but never camped there. Nice new discoveries. And that is what it's all about.

Ya, figured since you guys were talking about lights I just threw in my bit about all the lights.
We mostly camp using electrical sites but occasionally we'll use our on board batteries. I have two deep cycle marine batteries and using conservation per light I kept all interior lights stock but new. I couldn't resist the new LEDs for the exterior....so bright

I searched around and found an excellent source for LEDs. Yeah they are more expensive but designed exclusively for RV application and great service. So far very happy with them.

I will post some pics later as I just got back from the UP of Michigan

These are bulbs I ordered including patio & outside lights and a light for the overhead bedroom reading lamps
