Hole (rip) in the under aluminum

What's a good way to repair a rip or tear in the aluminum under a Sunline? I made one myself when I did the new earth ground, and there's a bigger one that was there when we bought this trailer. What do you folks use? Thanks!

Frank

Most people here have a heavy duty tarp material underneath, so this is a unique situation. I guess a good aluminum patch piece sealed with silicone and putty tape?

Gee, I figured all these Sunlines had aluminum underneath Jon. It is really well done, as you might imagine. I haven't looked around for anything yet, figured I'd ask here first. Thanks, and have a great 4th!

Depending on the size of the hole, what I would do is probably get some aluminum step flashing from Home Depot / Lowes, measure out the piece you need, cut it down with a grinder, use some good silicone on the mounting side, and then rivet the new piece into place over the hole.

It's not big, but it's where my new earth grounds come through. Good idea though, I'll keep y'all posted on how I make out. Thanks!
