Door window covering
Does anyone sell a cover for the windows on the doors ? Amy is self conscious of what people see, even though the glass is pebble grained. We do not have a sewing machine, so making one is out of the question. Any one out there have a solution?

The foil things from CW. Used them for twelve trouble free years. I've still got the original set, though a couple velcro sets later, they still work just as good.

I bought a table runner. It's exactly the right width, and long enough to cut in half and have plenty for both windows. The end has a nice little tassle on it. Iron the cut edge under and glue, or use stitch witch, or sew it down. It's only as wide as the window so isn't a big deal to hand stitch. Cover with the industrial strength sticky backed velcro. I attached the hook side of velcro to the top edge of the door window, and the soft side to the curtain in case I ever wanted to wash it.

Second Jon's thought. They make an insulated foil cover that is already sized to the door window, quick stick of velcro on the frame, and the window is not only covered, but insulated too! Very easy to do initial installation and even easier to remove/install when you want the light!!!
It's been two years, but I think it was under $20.

I bought two large windshield shades at the dollar store for... 0.99. These have foil sides and thin insulation in between and are just like what camping world sells for $$. Cut one up to fit the two doors and trimmed the other to go under the window awning on the front which we never open anyway. Both work great with a little velcro to hold them in place.

Window film is also an option................lets the light in but provides privacy. Check out the following link (I have not purchased anything from these people and attach this link as a show & tell only). http://www.wallpaperforwindows.com/P.../EdenP.asp#top I have puchased similar products from Lowes and Home Depot. You can also find cling so you don't have the sticky goo in case you want to change design. Just a thought.......................Marshall

Spring rods
I have found another good way to cover the window and no hole drilling or sticky velcro needed. I go to Walmart or any discount store and buy spring loaded rods you use in home windows, they come in really short sizes, and the just pop in almost any area that will hold the rubber end on the rod. Then just hang up any 30 inch tier curtain to match your color of the interior. They can be taken down if you prefer afternoon sunshine. I found left over curtains at places like Value CIty or K-Marts and keep them on hand for just a $1 or so. I also do this on the inside of windows in the bedroom like over the bed, so it darkens it a bit, just buy a rod long enough to go from the inside of the window cornice box, and put sheer curtains on it, gives you a bit more privacy during the day time having something sheer in the window, and you can still use mini blinds or shades that are in use.

We bought a piece of foam board from Wally World for under $2 and cut it in half. One for each door of our 2499.
Put two pieces of velcro on top, and two on the bottom and it not only blocks any view, but also acts as a little insulation from the sunlight heating up the camper in the afternoon.
Being as it's white, you dont notice it like you do the shiny foil from the outside, and from the inside, you forget it's there because of the white of the door.
If you want to take them off to store them, we just pull them down and put them under the couch or under the mattress.
