Curtains...

I just replied to a post from Steve and will extend this to others here..Regarding curtain replacement in your Sunlines,I am a retired seamstress with time on my hands..if we could figure out the shipping and selection of materials, I would like to start sewing for you who seem to face the problem of curtain replacement. Let me know if you are interested and I am sure we can figure something out. I have been making/changing curtains in my 20 past campers and also for a local used vehicle dealer for many years...I can supply some photos..Janalee

Hey, Janalee!

We're definitely interested but before doing the curtains, our 1950 sorely needs slipcovers for the jackknife sofa.

I figure you are probably looking at the same for your camper, also a 1950, right?

Dig..my upholstery was like new. My curtains are done..Except for the usual burgundy stripe deterioration, my camper came to me in excellent condition from the original owners. As for your sofa, unless you are doing the sofa project yourself,my advice is to get one of the quilted covers they use to protect from animals--they come in really nice patterns online. They dont move around and get sloppy looking like a slipcover could. There are even little "screw in" slipcover holders to secure it. Just my opinion of course...

Funny you mention these quilted covers- I have two of these on the couch in my '07. The '07 fabrics seemed to be pretty delicate from what I've heard, so I didn't want to take chances back when we had the family dog along for the ride. I tuck them both in between the bottom and back cushions, and they really stay in place quite well.

Hi!

We also have a 1950. We could use slipcovers on our sofa and was wondering where we could look online. Also, we have a swivel chair that came with the trailer when new. I would welcome any suggestions about recovering that chair too. Thanks
