Couple mods to the water system...

After having just got back from several weeks on the road, I wanted to do a couple things while they were still fresh in my mind.

First, I wanted to install a line so that I could fill the fresh tank via the water supply when hooked up at a campsite (vs. filling the fresh tank with a hose). Pretty minor modification, but it will make everything a bit easier not to have to run a hose all the way around the camper to get at the fresh water fill. Since we dry camp 99% of the time it will be a nice thing to have. To have easy access when loaded and on the road, I installed the valve into the cold water supply line near the rear cargo hatch. I ran a tube from the valve and cut it into the fresh tank drain.

Second, I wanted to move my 2 gallon accumulator tank to get it a little more contained and clean up the install. I cut it into the cold water supply for the hot water tank.

New valve and supply line to the fresh water tank can be seen at the rear to the right of the water heater and left of the opening for the access. Cut in from the accumulator to cold water line also visible.

View with panels up and access hole for fresh water fill valve.

Better view of cradle for accumulator tank. Steel strapping holds it against the cradle. I really like having the accumulator tank, it is a very nice thing to have.

New cut in to the plumbing for pressure gauge (center) and new supply line to feed the fresh tank (top left). With the accumulator tank moved it also gives access to a nice area that we can put a tub for storage (upper right of photo).

Tod,

Very nice work. I can tell by the way you made your accumulator tank support bracket, your into woodworking. Nice job.

Thanks for sharing.

John
