I posted in the tech section about having problems with the original Magnetek in out T205. Thought I'd post up a few photos of what I did.
First is the original setup.
The original had the distribution and fuses built in. It was also hardwired to the 110 shore power. So in order to install the Progressive Dynamics 9200, I also installed a small buss type fuse block and a 110 outlet for the new unit to plug into. You can't see it in the photo but I stole the ground buss strip off the old converter and all the white ground wires go to it as well as the neg from the converter.
Another shot of the 110 outlet
This new unit is rated for 45 amps which is more than I need. Also has the built in Charge Wizard. Another nice feature when you buy the retail unit is the pendant which is a little monitor that plugs in with what looks like a phone line. I stuck it on the wall and it tells you the state of charge with a blinking led. Also allows you to manually overide the Wizard. I think this will be good when I want to charge the battery off the generator during the day.
Anyway, the first goal was a success. The new 12V TV gets along fine with this unit. The low hum of the old unit has been replaced by silence. I don't know what the cooling fan sounds like since it hasn't come on. I think this was well worth the money. With the fuseblock off ebay and a receptical from Lowes, I have about $170 in the whole deal.
