I still see Greg's sig. pic., but now it's displayed in monster size of 1024 x 242.

Are others seeing it at this size?

Interesting that different people get it displayed in different sizes.

H’mm…. the mysterious sig pic strikes again.

Last night when I logged and I first went to this post and I saw Greg’s sig pic in monster size. 1024 wide, But at least I saw it.

So I thought I would be helpful and I saved it and shrunk it and posted smaller versions up on my site.

Then I went and posted the monster size one linked from Greg’s site and my 2 smaller ones from my site.

I previewed it and the preview still showed the 1024 wide pic. Then I posted, and immediately it shrinks to what Greg shrunk it too…. I thought he was on line at the same time and fixed it….

It’s magic.

So I went on my way and went to the next unread posts and Greg had posted on some of them too. His sig pic was nice and small on all the rest of them.

Now tonight it comes up small and looks good the first time I log in. But now others are seeing 1024 wide….

Is this thing stuck in some cache memory? I know on photo bucket, if I have a pic name loaded up. Then I delete it. Then I reload the same exact file name, it will not take, the old file comes up even though I deleted it. Photo bucket is holding the image linked to the name some how. So if I goof and upload the wrong image, I delete it, then I have to upload the next image with a -1 or something to make the name different.

Greg, did you fix your pic and save it as to exact same name? If so this same thing may be occurring to you. Photo bucket may be finding the older image some times.

If so, uplad that same small file under a differnt name, then in sunline club fix the sig to link to the new name. Then you can delete the old name and that flie name will be no good any more.

We need the “mystery busters” here…..

John

renamed and tried again...

It MIGHT be picking up out of your computer's cache....when I first tried it again, it came up HUGE, then retried it, came up huge, deleted history, temp files, etc., then it came up nice....

then people had more issues,

so now it's up again (with a new file name and IMG tag)...

If it doesn't work this time, it's gonna disappear forever (or, until I get a current photo that I like enough)

Thanks all for your help (and patience)....

Hey Greg,

You were write wrt what my problem was.
I was getting your large pic out of my computer's cache (i.e., Temporary Internet Files).
I cleaned up all my TIFs and it's looking good now.
My mystery is solved
Sorry about that - I guess I need to do this more offend

I think this (i.e., TIFs) may also be the cause to the problem that JohnB mentioned, I've had that same problem when trying to replace a picture in Photobucket.

That is, if you replace a picture in Photobucket with the same name, anyone that has viewed the old picutre, will continue to see the old picture until they clear out their TIFs. Therefore, the best approach to make sure everyone sees the new picture is to follow JohnB's suggestion about renaming the file. I've been using the file renaming procedure, as JohnB described, w/in Photobucket when replacing pictures.

FYI - If anyone is haveing the same problem I was having (i.e., seeign Greg's sig pic in monster size) and you're not familiar on how to delete your Temporary Internet Files and you're using MS Internet Explorer, here is some help:
> Right click on the IE icon and selected Properties from the drop down list.
> From the General tab, select the Delete button within the Browsing history category.
> Select the "Delete files" button associated with Temporary Internet Files.

You can also click on "Tools" in the upper left corner of the screen, under the http: box....

Then select "Internet Options", then in the "browsing history" section, select Delete, then delete all.

This is a good idea to do from time to time anyway as all the extra old files and sites are stored away here- and it'll slow down the computer (and open you up for other issues too).

ALSO- I got back to visit our camper (which is starting to have more character) yesterday, to drop off more project parts, and she measures 34" now from ground to center bottom of wheel arch.

Therefore, I gained a full 5" of ground clearance- YEAH! I don't think I posted exactly how much before....
