Awning Clamps

I had these at the M&G, and I promised some up close pics, so here they are. If anyone wants to know dimensions, let me know and I will get them this weekend.

I got the idea from a friend who heard about them and built a set. He even painted them to match his coach. He told another friend about them and he made a set, and they stay up all summer long. He keeps the coach on a site from 5/1 to 10/31 and commutes to work from it 3-4 days per week. He never puts the awning up unless it really is storming bad, and with it ratcheted down as well, these clamps really work well. He even leaves the awning out while he goes home and has never had a problem.

Neat mod. If my deflappers ever give out I know my next fix.

The shocks cords, does the sun beat them to death? The ones I have in other places seem to have a very short life once wet and the sun gets to them. It may be the brand as on our Troop dining flys we had those same elastic style cords and never had a problem with them. But I do on the camper ones.

Thanks for sharing

John
