All New stripes and decals !

We are packing for the N.E. Meet and Greet but got our camper back and I wanted to post a few of the pictures. It looks GREAT !! Old and new "slide room" decals below so you can see how bad it was !

Door and rock guard covered to get rid of the old yellow look and decal put on top of that. Window frame on door painted black to give it a sharper look.

Slide room logo was terrible. Except losing a bit of "fade" in the decal, our guy was able to reproduce it and it looks sharp.

Vinyl wrapped with the 3M stripes over it. It's rugged. Frame around the window in door painted black to match windows. I think it looks sharp!

HI Debbie,

OK this is new, to me at least. Do you have any kind of link to a web site or something on this Vinyl wrapped with 3M strips? I hear the words but I'm not visualizing the process.

So this is how the guy explained it when I asked him to give details:

" I took the window and door pull off. I then used a whole sheet of vinyl to replace the whole length of the door. I cut around the edges and removed the window area vinyl and then re assembled the door. Same as the front I did the awning the same way. "

(He means the rock guard). I guess I misspoke when I called it wrapped, it is covered. And then he put the stripes on after he'd covered the door w/ vinyl.

Thanks Debbie,

He must have some kind of vinyl sheet he bonds to the door. Unless it is self adhesive white vinyl film in a roll. Basically he is covering up the old yeller'ed fiberglass.

Thanks again

John

That looks awesome!! A shame most people aren't willing to put that kind of money into their trailers to make them look so nice. Your trailer looks just like I remember seeing when walking around the Sunline yard in 2000!

John, it's probably the same type of vinyl they wrap vehicles in, like company names on truck trailers, etc. Tough stuff, will last a long time if it's good quality. Then just peel it off and put new on when the time comes.

I'd like to know how your graphics guy got the stripe to conform to the corrugated siding! And how difficult it must have been to remove the old stripe.
I tried that on our 92 Solaris and finally gave up. I ended up making a flat panel from aluminum coil (the kind they use for seamless gutters) to cover over the corrugated aluminum and applied the new stripe to that.

Funny story. He does race cars, etc. and is super good. On our job, he needed caulking compound and went to our local Camper store. The owners there are rather notorious for being rude (I know!!??) So he tells them what he is doing and they said it cannot be done on the corrugated siding. Period. He shows them his phone, with pictures of the almost completed job and they were astounded ( but didn't back down LOL).

The Sunline was so sad looking before this and we are really thrilled to see it looking so sharp now !

Your trailer looks better then a new one! Anyone can go get a new one but to have one that has some years on it and still look new is awesome! I think they would last a life time if properly maintained. You can be proud to pull into the campground with that beauty!
